Kjirsti Foutz - Voice LessonsVoice Lessons

Kjirsti Foutz is a teacher of skill and experience. She is able to foster in each student not only technical proficiency but increased confidence, joy, and work ethic. As a singing teacher, she is well respected for her ability to draw out of even the least capable or most shy student, a sound of great beauty and strength, while also helping advanced students progress. Her strengths as a vocal coach lie in her superb interpretive abilities, and dramatic sense. With training from two of the leading conservatories in the country, Oberlin Conservatory and the Cleveland Institute of Music, as well as attendance in masterclasses with musical greats, such as Thomas Quasthoff, Frederica von Stade, Marilyn Horne, and Marvin Hamlisch she has a wealth of knowledge and experience from which to draw. That, coupled with her extensive experience on the operatic, musical theater and recital stages, provides her with a strong foundation for excellent teaching.
Mrs. Foutz has been teaching voice lessons for ten years. Her students have ranged in age from 3-73, and from “tone-deaf” to accomplished singers. Mrs. Foutz’s greatest strength as a teacher lies in her ability to balance high standards of excellence with abundant warmth and joviality. She aspires to create not only a love of music but a love of life, singing, and oneself. Her students always leave smiling.
Mrs. Foutz teaches at her home studio in Shoreline, WA.
